India SME Forum and ProChile Collaborate to Strengthen Bilateral Trade, Foster Innovation, and Expand Business Opportunities Between India and Chile
In a landmark step toward enhancing bilateral trade relations, the India SME Forum and ProChile have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote innovation and business partnerships among MSMEs in India and Chile, in Bengaluru on 4th April 2025.
The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Vinod Kumar, President of India SME Forum, and Mr. Ignacio Fernandez Ruiz, General Director of ProChile. The signing ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of H.E. Mr. Gabriel Boric Font, President of Chile, along with key Chilean Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Mining, Women and Gender Equality, and Culture, Arts and Heritage as well as the Chilean Ambassador to India.
This strategic partnership is designed to:
- Unlock new trade and market opportunities for MSMEs in both countries
- Foster cross-border collaboration across various sectors
- Strengthen bilateral relations through shared business ecosystems
India SME Forum and ProChile envision creating a dynamic platform to enable MSMEs from both countries to access global value chains, embrace sustainable practices, and develop resilient enterprises in today’s highly competitive global economy.
This collaboration also reflects the shared eagerness and commitment of both nations to deepen trade relations and enhance people-to-people connections. With Chile positioned as a strategic base for Indian entrepreneurs looking to enter the American markets, and India offering Chilean businesses access to one of the world’s largest consumer and industrial markets, the potential for mutual growth is immense.
“India SME Forum and its 1.2 million subscribers are delighted to explore business opportunities and avenues of entrepreneurial cooperation across various sectors, technologies, investments, trade, and industry in Chile through this MoU. We are truly excited to accept the gracious invitation of His Excellency, President Gabriel Boric, to lead an exploratory business delegation comprising both startups and established entrepreneurs from India to Chile. We also look forward to engaging with and supporting Chilean entrepreneurs in their efforts to access the Indian market.”
