India’s export rise 16.22% during May - June to UAE after implementation of Free Trade Agreement.
India Export to UAE, which were declining since the outbreak of Covid 19 have begun to recover post the signing of the agreement in May 2022.
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement among the two countries came into effect from May 1, 2022. Domestic exporters from various industries, including textiles, agriculture, dry fruits, gems, and jewellery, will benefit from duty-free access to the UAE market under the agreement.
According to sources, India's exports to the UAE increased by 16.22% to $837.14 million in May-June this year following the implementation of a free trade agreement. Exports totaled $720.31 million during the same period the previous year.
