India-Greece Economic Cooperation Gains Momentum

In a significant step towards fostering international business partnerships, a high-level business delegation from India with the support of Ministry of MSME, is visiting Greece between 12-16th Feb 2025, to explore trade opportunities for Indian MSMEs and facilitate bilateral cooperation between both countries. The delegation was led by Ms. Rukmini Atri, Joint Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Government of India along with Mr. Vinod Kumar, President of India SME Forum, Shri Ashok Kumar Gautam, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, SOlan and Ms. Sushma Morthania, Director-General of India SME Forum. The visiting delegation was largely facilitated by the Embassy of Greece in India & the Embassy of India in Athens.

The delegation was welcomed & hosted in Athens by Mr. Angelos Tsavdaris, President, the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Economy.

India SME Forum in collaboration with the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Economy, launched the Greece-India B2B Collaboration Platform on February 12th, 2025, at the InterContinental Athenaeum Athens, Greece. With the support of the India SME Forum, which played a key role in promoting the platform to its members, this initiative aims to strengthen business ties and foster collaboration between Indian and Greek enterprises.

The platform serves as a gateway for Indian entrepreneurs seeking business opportunities and exploring the European market and fostering bilateral trade and economic growth between India and Greece while creating new avenues for MSMEs in both nations.  Users can now sign up on the platform (www.hi-b2b.eu) to network and explore business collaboration opportunities.

The delegation is presently participating in the ongoing “Souvenirs, Gifts, Folk Art, Fashion & Accessories Trade Fair” in Thessaloniki, Greece, with a special showcase on 10 specific Geographical Indication (GI) products at the Made Best in India Indian Pavilion from February 14-16, 2025.

India SME Forum and the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce & Economy signed an MoU of mutual cooperation and collaboration with an aim to strengthen economic ties between the two countries, empowering businesses to expand their reach, forge new partnerships, and drive sustainable growth in the global marketplace.
